Brooke Henderson of Smiths Falls, Ontario is the leader after the second round of the 2019 Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions from Walt Disney World, Florida. Henderson shot a six under par in round one and a four under par in round two and is -10 overall.

In Henderson’s first round, she had seven birdies after one bogey. She birdied the fourth, seventh, 11th, 12th, 13th, 15th and 17th holes. In Henderson’s second round, she birdied the fourth, seventh, 10th and 11th holes.

Henderson currently leads Ariya Jutanugarn of Thailand, Lydia Ko of New Zealand and Eun-Hee Ji of South Korea by two strokes. Ko, Jutanugarn and Ji are all at -8. Mirim Lee of South Korea is the other golfer in contention as she is at -7 and three strokes off the lead.

This is the first ever Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions. The format is similar to the PGA Tour’s Sony Tournament of Champions which takes place in Maui the first weekend of January. However, unlike the Sony Tournament of Champions, which only included golfers who won tournaments on the PGA Tour in 2018, the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions includes women’s golfers who have won on the LPGA Tour in 2017 and 2018.
