Four Blue Jays in 2021 MLB All-Star Game

There will be four Toronto Blue Jays in the 2021 Major League Baseball All-Star Game which takes place in Denver, Colorado on Tuesday. The All-Stars are first baseman Vladimir Guerrero of Montreal, Quebec, second baseman Marcus Semien, shortstop Bo Bichette, and outfielder Teoscar Hernandez. Meanwhile, Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman, who represents Canada internationally in baseball, will play for the National League.

Guerrero, Semien, and Hernandez will be starters for the American League, while Freeman will start for the Senior Circuit. All four Blue Jays will be a starter for the first time, while this is Freeman’s fifth All-Star Game.

Guerrero, currently leads Major League Baseball with a .332 batting average, .430 on base percentage, 1.089 on base plus slugging percentage and 73 runs batted in. He also has scored 68 runs, and has 105 hits, 17 doubles, one triple, 28 home runs, two stolen bases, 52 walks, a .658 slugging percentage, 208 total bases, two sacrifice flies, and four times has been hit by a pitch.

Semien is batting .277 with 22 home runs and 56 runs batted in. During 354 at bats, he has scored 67 runs, and has 98 hits, 21 doubles, one triple, 10 stolen bases, 37 walks, 187 total bases, two sacrifice flies, one hit by a pitch, an on base percentage of .345, and a slugging percentage of .528.

Hernandez is batting .297 with 11 home runs and 48 runs batted in. During 273 at bats, he has scored 35 runs and had 81 hits, 15 doubles, six stolen bases, 19 walks, one sacrifice fly, an on base percentage of .341, and a slugging percentage of .473.

Bichette leads the American League with 71 runs scored. He is batting .293 with 16 home runs and 57 runs batted in. During 358 at bats, Bichette has had 105 hits, 18 doubles, one triple, 12 stolen bases, 24 walks, and one sacrifice fly. He also has been hit by a pitch thrice, and has a slugging percentage of .483, and an on base percentage of .342.

Freeman batted .274 with 19 home runs and 50 runs batted in. During 329 at bats, he has scored 58 runs, and had 90 hits, 14 doubles, four stolen bases, 55 walks, 161 total bases, and one sacrifice fly. Three times Freeman was hit by a pitch, and he has an on base percentage of .381, and a slugging percentage of .489.
