Auger-Aliassime made an interesting decision when it came to his schedule. He decided to attend the tournament in Rotterdam this week instead of the tournament in Rio de Janeiro next week, despite reaching the final in Brazil a year ago. In 2018, Auger-Aliassime made tennis history when he became the youngest player ever to reach the final of an ATP Tour 500 point event. Auger-Aliassime ended up losing 6-3, 7-5 to Laslo Djere of Serbia. The other semifinal at the Rotterdam Open has Gael Monfils of France against Filip Krajinovic of Serbia.
