According to Rogers Sportsnet on Sunday, London Knights forward Easton Cowan of Strathroy, Ontario set the Knights franchise record for longest consecutive game streak with a point, when he had two assists in a 7-4 Knights win over the Windsor Spitfires. Cowan has a point in 34 straight games, which broke the record previously held by Dave Gilmore of St. Thomas, Ontario, who had a consecutive game streak with 33 points during the 1993-94 Ontario Hockey League regular season.

The streak began on November 25, 2023. Cowan had one goal and two assists for three points in a dominant 9-3 Knights win over the Barrie Colts. In 34 games, he has 23 goals and 41 assists for 64 points. On the season, Cowan has 32 goals and 60 assists for 92 points.

Cowan was the first round pick, 28th overall, by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2023 National Hockey League Entry Draft. The Ontario Hockey League record for the longest game streak with a point also has a Maple Leafs connection. Former Maple Leafs legend Doug Gilmour of Kingston, Ontario had a 55 game point streak with the Cornwall Royals from October 19, 1982 to February 27, 1983.

The Knights meanwhile are the best team in the OHL. With a record of 48 wins, 14 regulation losses, and four losses in extra time, they have hit the century mark in points with 100.
