Chuba Hubbard records second NFL career touchdown catch

Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard of Edmonton, Alberta recorded his second career touchdown catch on Sunday. He accomplished the feat in a 36-22 Carolina Panthers win over the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Hubbard’s touchdown catch opened the scoring with four minutes and 47 seconds into the contest. It was a six-yard touchdown catch from Andy Dalton. For Dalton, this was his first win as a Panther. The three-time Pro Bowler had three touchdown passes against the Raiders, as he also had a five-yard touchdown pass to Diontae Johnson and a 31-yard touchdown pass to Adam Thielen.

Hubbard finished the game with 21 carries for 114 rushing yards, and five catches for 55 receiving yards and one touchdown. On the season, he has 37 rushes for 192 rushing yards, along with nine catches for 67 yards.

Hubbard’s first touchdown catch came in the 2021 season. In the Panthers’s final game of the season, he had a two-yard touchdown catch from San Darnold in a 41-17 Panthers loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

This was the Panthers’s first win of the season. They were blown out in their first two games, as they lost 47-10 to the New Orleans Saints and 26-3 to the Los Angeles Chargers.
