Chase Brown of London, Ontario had a significant performance on Sunday in a 34-24 Cincinnati Bengals win over the Carolina Panthers from the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. Brown registered his first two National Football League career rushing touchdowns as Cincinnati picked up their first win of the season after losing their first three games of 2024.
Brown opened the scoring with a three-yard touchdown run with five seconds left in the first quarter. He then scored the first touchdown in the second half on a one-yard run, four minutes and 22 seconds into the third quarter, which put the Bengals up 28-14.
Interestingly, a second Canadian had a touchdown in the game. Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard of Edmonton, Alberta tied the game at seven at five minutes and 29 seconds into the second quarter.
In 2024, Brown has 29 rushes for 184 rushing yards. He also has seven catches for 31 receiving yards.
Last season, Brown had one touchdown catch. It was a 54-yard touchdown catch from Jake Browning in a 34-14 Bengals win over the Indianapolis Colts on December 10. The touchdown reception was the longest catch of his career, and at the time put the Bengals up 7-0. Chase’s twin brother Sydney Brown is a safety for the Philadelphia Eagles.
