Ante Milanovic-Litre helps Stampeders beat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 37-33

Ante Milanovic-Litre of Vancouver, British Columbia played a key role for the Calgary Stampeders in their 37-33 win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at McMahon Stadium in Calgary, Alberta on Saturday. Milanovic-Litre had 11 carries for 40 yards and a touchdown in the Stampeders’ four point victory.

Milanovic-Litre’s touchdown came at 10:23 of the third quarter. With the Stampeders trailing 30-22, Milanovic-Litre had a three yard run into the end zone for his second career Canadian Football League touchdown. At the time, Milanovic-Litre’s major score pulled the Stampeders within two points as it was 30-28 Winnipeg. The Stampeders then tied the game at 30 points apiece on a two point conversion as Bo Levi Mitchell completed a pass to Josh Huff.

This was Milanovic-Litre’s second career touchdown. His first came on a four yard touchdown run for the Stampeders in that memorable 60-1 Calgary win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on July 29, 2017. Milanovic-Litre’s major score was a four yard run which at the time put Calgary up 52-1.

With the win, the Stampeders improved to a record of 11 wins and five losses. They are tied for first in the CFL West with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Calgary is in first place however because they have beaten Saskatchewan twice this season. In other week 19 action, the Montreal Alouettes beat the Toronto Argonauts 27-24, the Saskatchewan Roughriders beat the British Columbia Lions 27-19 and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats beat the Ottawa Redblacks 33-12.
