Adam Hadwin of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan is in second place at the 2024 Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio, just outside of Columbus. He is currently at -6 and three strokes back of the leader Scottie Scheffler of the United States.
Hadwin had a fantastic first round on Thursday. He posted a score of six-under-par 66. Hadwin had eight birdies and two bogeys. He birdied the first, third, fifth, seventh, 13th, 14th, 15th, and 17th holes, and bogeyed the eighth and 18th holes.
Then in the second round on Friday, Hadwin shot even par with a score of 72. He had four birdies, two bogeys and one double bogey. The birdies came on the third, fifth, seventh, and 15th holes, the bogeys came on the fourth and ninth holes, and the double bogey came on the 17th hole.
Scheffler of Ridgewood, New Jersey, the Memorial Tournament leader at -9, is the world number one. The two-time Masters champion from 2022 and 2024, has already won four tournaments in 2024. In addition to the Masters, he has won the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Players Championship and RBC Heritage. The only other golfer in contention at the moment is Norway’s Victor Hovland. Like Hadwin, Hovland is at -6, and three strokes back of Scheffler.
