The 2024 National Hockey League free agency offseason began on Monday for the 2024-25 season. Here are 33 Canadians with a minimum number of 10 points or 10 goaltending wins that switched teams on Canada Day.

Michael Amadio

Amadio signed a three-year contract worth $7.8 million with the Ottawa Senators. He previously played for the Senators in 2020-21. Armadio is joining his fifth team after four seasons with the Los Angeles Kings, one season with the Toronto Maple Leafs, and three seasons with the Vegas Golden Knights. Last season in Vegas, the centre from Sault. Ste. Marie, Ontario had 14 goals and 13 assists for 27 points in 73 games.

Nicolas Aube-Kubel

Aube-Kubel signed a one-year contract worth $1.5 million with the Buffalo Sabres. He is joining his fifth team after four seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers, one season each with the Colorado Avalanche and Maple Leafs, and two seasons with the Washington Capitals. Last season in Washington, the right winger from Slave Lake, Alberta had six goals and 10 assists for 16 points in 60 games.

Jake Bean

Bean signed a two-year contract worth $3.5 million with the Calgary Flames. He is joining his third team after two seasons with the Carolina Hurricanes and three seasons with the Columbus Blue Jackets. The defenseman Calgary, Alberta had four goals and nine assists for 13 points in Columbus last season.

Anthony Beauvillier

Beauvillier signed a one-year contract worth $1.25 million with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He is joining his fifth NHL team after seven seasons with the New York Islanders, two seasons with the Vancouver Canucks, and part of one season with the Chicago Blackhawks and Nashville Predators. The left winger from Sorel-Tracy, Quebec had five goals and 12 assists for 17 points last season with the Canucks, Blackhawks and Predators.

Tyler Bertuzzi

Bertuzzi signed a four-year deal worth $22 million with the Blackhawks. He is joining his fourth NHL team after seven seasons with Detroit, and one season each with the Boston Bruins and Maple Leafs. The left winger from Sudbury, Ontario had 21 goals and 22 assists for 43 points in 80 games with Toronto last season.

TJ Brodie

Brodie signed a four-year deal worth $20 million with the Blackhawks. He is joining his third NHL team after a decade with the Flames and four seasons with the Maple Leafs. The defenseman from Chatham, Ontario had one goal and 25 assists for 26 points in 78 games with Toronto last season.

Laurent Brossoit

Brossoit signed a two-year deal worth $6.6 million with the Blackhawks. He is joining his fourth NHL team after four seasons with the Edmonton Oilers, four seasons with the Winnipeg Jets and two seasons with the Golden Knights. Last season in Winnipeg, the goaltender from Port Alberni, British Columbia had a record of 15 wins, five regulation losses and two losses in extra time, three shutouts, a goals against average of 2.00 and a save percentage of .927.

Sam Carrick

Carrick signed a three-year contract worth $3 million with the New York Rangers. He is joining his fourth NHL team after two seasons with the Maple Leafs, six seasons with the Anaheim Ducks and one season with the Oilers. Last season the centre from Markham, Ontario had 10 goals and six assists for 16 points in 77 games last season in Anaheim and Edmonton.

Jake DeBrusk

DeBrusk signed a seven-year deal worth $38.5 million with the Canucks. He is joining his second team after seven seasons with the Bruins. The left winger from Edmonton, Alberta, had 19 goals and 21 assists for 40 points in 80 games last season in Boston.

Calvin de Haan 

De Haan signed a one-year deal worth $800,000 with the Avalanche. He is joining his fifth team after six seasons with the Islanders, three seasons with the Blackhawks, two seasons with the Hurricanes and one season with the Tampa Bay Lightning. In 53 games, the defenseman from Carp, Ontario had three goals and seven assists for 10 points in 59 games.

Vincent Desharnais

Desharnais signed a two-year deal worth $4 million with the Canucks. He is joining his second team after two seasons with the Oilers. The defenseman from Laval, Quebec had one goal and 10 assists for 11 points in 78 games with the Oilers last season.

Brenden Dillon

Dillon signed a three-year deal worth $12 million with the New Jersey Devils. A.J. Greer

Greer signed a two-year contract worth $1.7 million with the Panthers. He is joining his fifth NHL team after three seasons with the Avalanche, two seasons with the Devils, and one season each with the Bruins and Flames. Anthony Mantha

Mantha signed a one-year contract worth $3.5 million with the Flames. He is joining his fourth NHL team after six seasons with the  Detroit Red Wings, four seasons with the Capitals and one season with the Golden Knights. Marchessault signed a five-year contract worth $27.5 million with the Predators. He is joining his fifth NHL team after one season each with the Blue Jackets, Lightning and Panthers, and seven seasons with the Golden Knights. Monahan signed a five-year contract worth $27.5 million with the Blue Jackets. He is joining his fourth NHL team after nine seasons with the Flames, two seasons with the Montreal Canadiens, and one with the Jets. Last season in Montreal and Winnipeg, the centre from Brampton, Ontario had 26 goals and 33 assists for 59 points in 83 games.

Montour signed a seven-year deal worth $50 million with the Seattle Kraken. He is joining his fourth NHL franchise after three seasons each with the Anaheim Ducks and Buffalo Sabres and four seasons with the Florida Panthers. The defenseman from Brantford, Ontario had eight goals and 25 assists for 33 points in 66 games last season in Florida.

Taylor Raddysh

Raddysh signed a one-year deal worth $1 million with the Washington Capitals. He is joining his third NHL franchise after one season with the Lightning and three seasons with the Blackhawks. The right winger from Caledon, Ontario had five goals and nine assists for 14 points in 73 games with the Blackhawks in 2023-24.

James Reimer

Reimer signed a one-year deal worth $1 million with the Sabres. He is joining his sixth NHL team after six seasons with the Maple Leafs, three seasons each with the Sharks and Panthers, two seasons with the Hurricanes, and one season with the Red Wings. Last season in Detroit, the goaltender from Brandon, Manitoba had a record of 11 wins, eight regulation losses, and two losses in extra time, with a goals against average of 3.11, save percentage of .904 and two shutouts.

Skinner signed a one-year deal worth $3 million with the Oilers. He is joining his third NHL team after eight seasons with the Carolina Hurricanes and six seasons with the Sabres. The forward from Toronto, Ontario had 24 goals and 22 assists for 46 points in 74 games last season in Buffalo.

Brendan Smith

Smith signed a one-year deal worth $1 million with the Stars. He is joining fifth NHL team after six seasons with the Red Wings, five seasons with the Rangers, one season with the Hurricanes, and two seasons with the Devils. In 63 games with the Devils, the defenseman from Mimico, Ontario had five goals and 10 assists for 15 points.

Stephenson signed a seven-year deal worth $43.75 million with the Kraken. He is joining his third NHL team after five seasons each with the Capitals and Golden Knights. Last season in Vegas, the centre from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan had 16 goals and 35 assists for 51 points in 75 games.

Cam Talbot

Talbot signed a two-year deal worth $5 million with the Red Wings. He is with his eighth NHL team after two seasons each with the Rangers and Wild, four seasons with the Oilers, and one season with the Flyers, Flames, Senators and Kings. Last season in Los Angeles, the native of Caledonia, Ontario had a record of 27-20-6 with a goal against average of 2.50, save percentage of .913 and three shutouts.

Tyler Toffoli

Toffoli signed a four-year contract worth $24 million with the Sharks. He is with his seventh NHL team after eight seasons with the Kings, two seasons each with the Canadiens and Flames, and one season with the Canucks, Devils and Jets. In 79 games with the Devils and Jets this past season, the centre from Scarborough, Ontario had 33 goals and 22 assists for 55 points.

Sean Walker

Walker signed a five-year contract worth $18 million with the Hurricanes. He is with his fourth NHL team after five seasons with the Kings and one season each with the Flyers and Avalanche. Last season in Philadelphia and Colorado, the defenseman from Keswick, Ontario had 10 goals and 19 assists for 29 points in 81 games.

Scott Wedgewood

Wedgewood signed a two-year contract worth $3 million with the Predators. He is with his fourth NHL team after three seasons with the Devils and Stars, and two seasons with the Coyotes.
