Toronto Rock win 2026 National Lacrosse League championship

The Toronto Rock have won the 2026 National Lacrosse League championship. On Sunday at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the Rock defeated the Halifax Thunderbirds 12-7. With the win, the Rock won the best out of three series two games to none.

Canadians Mark Matthews of Oshawa, Ontario and Owen Hiltz of Peterborough, Ontario led the Rock in scoring with four points each. Hiltz had three goals and one assist and Matthews had one goal and three assists. Three more Canadians scored one goal for the Rock. They were Sam English of Burlington, Ontario, Lucas Hucal of Oakville, Ontario, and Latrell Harris of St. Catharines, Ontario. Challen Rogers of Coquitlam, British Columbia also had a notable game for the Rock as he had three assists. English led the Rock by collecting eight loose balls, and was the NLL Finals Most Valuable Player.

There were seven more Rock players from Canada who played in the championship game. They were Dan Craig of Shelburne, Ontario, Josh Dawick of Oakville, Billy Hostrawser of Belwood, Ontario, Josh Jackson of Coquitlam, British Columbia, Josh Jubenville of Windsor, Ontario, Brad Kri of Acton, Ontario, and goaltender Nick Rose, of Orangeville, Ontario.

This was the seventh NLL Cup title for Toronto. They previously won in 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2005, and 2011.
