Taylor Pendrith of Richmond Hill, Ontario has been named to the international team of the 2022 Presidents Cup in Charlotte, North Carolina according to the Canadian Press. On Tuesday, Pendrith was the second Canadian to be named to the team, as he followed Corey Conners of Listowel, Ontario. This will be the first time ever that two Canadians have been named to the same International Team for the Presidents Cup.

Pendrith is currently ranked 114th in the Official World Golf Rankings. He was one of six captain’s picks named to the International Team. Pendrith was joined by Christiaan Bezuidenhout of South Africa, Si Woo Kim and K.H. Lee of South Korea, Sebastian Munoz of Colombia, and Cam Davis of Australia.

The Presidents Cup takes place once every two years. It features the best golfers from the United States versus the best golfers from the world outside of Europe. However, the 2022 Presidents Cup has a twist. That is because the players who joined the newly-formed LIV Tour will not be participating. This year the Presidents Cup will take place in Charlotte, North Carolina. It will happen from September 22-25 at the Quail Hollow Club, which hosted the 2017 PGA Championship which was won by American Justin Thomas.
