According to Michael David Smith of NBC Sports on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Rams have signed defensive lineman Neville Gallimore of Ottawa, Ontario. The length of the contract and the financial terms have not been disclosed.
Gallimore was signed by the Rams one day after his surprise release by the Miami Dolphins. Gallimore had signed with Miami to a one year deal worth $1.79 million on March 13.
Over the last four years, Gallimore has played with the Dallas Cowboys. In 2023, he had 16 combined tackles (eight solo tackles and eight assisted tackles), two tackles for a loss, two quarterback hits, one sack and one pass deflection. The two quarterback hits, sack and one of the two tackles for a loss came in a 49-17 Cowboys win over the New York Giants on November 12. The other tackle for a loss came in a 38-3 Cowboys win over the New England Patriots on October 1, and the pass deflection came on October 29 in a 43-20 Cowboys win over the Rams.
The Rams made the playoffs this past season. With a record of 10 wins and seven losses, they were in second place in the NFC West. In the NFC Wildcard, Los Angeles played the Detroit Lions. and lost 24-23 in a tight contest.
