Quebec City, Quebec will host the second round of Davis Cup qualifying between Canada and France from September 18-20, 2026. Canada qualified for the round after beating Brazil 3-2 at the Thunderbird Sports Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia in February.
The qualifying will take place at the Centre Videotron, home of the Quebec Remparts of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League. Centre Videotron also recently hosted Team Canada in Women’s Volleyball Nations League action.
This will be one of seven second round qualifying matches to be played in September. The other six are Spain versus Chile in Santiago, Croatia versus Germany in Halle, Great Britain versus Ecuador in London, Austria versus Belgium in Vienna, the Czech Republic versus thew United States in Prague, and South Korea versus India. A host venue has not been determined for the South Korea/India matchup.
The Canadian team is expected to feature world number four Felix Auger-Aliassime of Montreal, Quebec. Auger-Aliassime recently reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon before losing a five set marathon match to 24-time major champion Novak Djokovic of Serbia. When Auger-Aliassime competes in Quebec City, he will have a new coach. On Saturday, Auger-Aliassime announced his split with long-time coach Frederic Fontang after a decade together.
