Nick Taylor in contention at the 2024 Arnold Palmer Classic

Nick Taylor of Winnipeg, Manitoba is in contention at the 2024 Arnold Palmer Classic in Bay Hill, Florida. After the second round, he is at four under par and three strokes back of the lead.

Taylor had a first round score of three-under-par, as he had four birdies and one bogey. He birdied the sixth, 10th, 13th and 16th holes, and bogeyed the fifth hole. Then in the second round, Taylor had a second round score of one-under-par. He had two birdies and one bogey. Taylor birdied the third and sixth holes, and bogeyed the 15th hole.

There is currently a six-way tie for the lead at -7. There you can find five major champions. They are 2019 British Open champion Shane Lowry of Ireland, 2021 Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama of Japan, 2022 Masters champion Scottie Scheffler of the United States, 2023 United States Open champion Wyndham Clark of the United States and 2023 British Open champion Brian Harman of the United States. They are joined by American Russell Henley.

Will Zalatoris is alone in seventh place at -6. Germany’s Stephan Jaeger and Argentina’s Emiliano Grillo are tied for eighth at -5. Meanwhile six other golfers are tied for 10th with Taylor. They are two-time major champion Justin Thomas of the United States (2017 and 2022 PGA Championship), Americas Sam Burns, Sahith Theegala and Max Homa, South Korea’s Byeong Hun An and Norway’s Viktor Hovland.
