Buffalo Bills wide receiver Josh Palmer of Toronto, Ontario recorded his 12th career National Football League touchdown on Thursday night. He accomplished the feat in a 41-31 Bills win over the Detroit Lions. The game was memorable because it was the first game ever played at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York. The Bills had previously played at Ralph Wilson Stadium from 1973 to 2025.
Palmer’s touchdown catch was 43 yards from Bills quarterback Josh Allen. With three minutes and 42 seconds left in the first quarter, the Bills went up 14-0.
Remarkably, Palmer only has two catches this season and they are both touchdown catches. He had a 34 yard touchdown catch from Allen on Sunday in a 36-31 Bills win over the Houston Texans. That was a game-winning touchdown that completed the scoring. Remember, Palmer did not have a touchdown catch with the Bills all of last season. His previous 10 touchdown catches were with the Los Angeles Chargers.
After two games, Palmer has 77 yards receiving. For his career, this was the third longest touchdown catch in Palmer’s career. Her had a 79 yard touchdown catch from Easton Stick on December 14, 2023 in a 63-21 Chargers loss to the Las Vegas Raiders and a 50 yard touchdown catch from Justin Herbert on November 20, 2022 in a 30-27 Chargers loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
With the win, the Bills are in first place in the AFC East. They have a record of two wins and zero losses.
