Golden Knights RW Mark Stone named NHL First Star of the Week

Vegas Golden Knights right winger Mark Stone of Winnipeg, Manitoba has been named the National Hockey League First Star of the Week for the second time in his NHL career. He was honoured for his outstanding offensive production from October 21 to 27, 2024.

In three games over this past week, Stone had two goals and six assists for eight points. He was a +3, with four power-play points, one game-winning goal, and eight shots on goal.

Stone began the week with one goal and two assists for three points in a 6-1 Golden Knights win over the Los Angeles Kings on October 22. Stone’s goal was the game-winning goal at 13:51 on the power-play from Tomas Hertl and Noah Hanifin. The goal put the Golden Knights up 2-0 at the time. Stone then had two assists in a 6-4 Golden Knights win over the Ottawa Senators on October 25, and one goal and two assists for three points in a 7-3 Golden Knights win over the San Jose Sharks on October 26.

This season, Stone has five goals and 13 assists for 18 points in 10 games. He is a +9 with seven power-play points, one game-winning goal, six blocked shots, four hits, six takeaways and 13 giveaways.

The first time that Stone was the NHL First Star of the Week was the first week of March in 2021. In four games, he had two goals and eight assists for 10 points.
