Giants sign Canadian safety Jevon Holland

The New York Giants have signed Canadian safety Jevon Holland of Coquitlam, British Columbia. According to the Canadian Press on Tuesday, the terms of the contract are three years and $45.3 million. Of the $45.3 million, a total of $30.3 million is guaranteed. The signing means Holland will be coached by Canadian Brian Daboll of Welland, Ontario in New York.

Holland is joining his second National Football League franchise. He has spent the last four seasons with the Miami Dolphins.

In 2024, Holland had 62 combined tackles (42 solo tackles and 20 assisted tackles), two tackles for a loss, two quarterback hits, four pass deflections, one forced fumble and one sack. The forced fumble, two tackles for a loss, two quarterback hits, and one sack all came in Dolphins wins. The forced fumble was in a 20-17 Dolphins win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on September 8. The first tackle for a loss, first quarterback hit and sack came in a 23-15 Dolphins win over the Los Angeles Rams on November 11. The second tackle for a loss came in a 34-15 Dolphins win over the New England Patriots on November 24, and the second quarterback hit came in a 20-3 Dolphins win over the Cleveland Browns on December 29.

During Holland’s 60 NFL games since 2021, Holland has 301 combined tackles (219 solo tackles and 82 assisted tackles), nine tackles for a loss, 10 quarterback hits, five interceptions for 163 yards, one interception for a touchdown, 25 pass deflections, five forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries for seven yards and five sacks. The pick six was for 99 yards, and came in a 34-13 Dolphins win over the New York Jets on November 24, 2023.
