They were Edmonton Elks wide receiver Kaion Julien-Grant of Toronto, Ontario, Montreal Alouettes wide receiver Tyson Philpot of Delta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan Roughriders wide receiver Samuel Emilus of Montreal, Quebec, and Roughriders wide receiver Kian Schaffer-Baker of Mississauga, Ontario.
Julien-Grant had a four-yard touchdown catch from Cody Fajardo in a 40-17 Elks win over the Ottawa Redblacks at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton on Thursday night. Julien-Grant put the Elks up 23-14 at 2:56 of the fourth quarter. He had three catches for 24 receiving yards during the game and has 18 catches for 196 receiving yards and three touchdown catches for the season. Julien-Grant also has one rush for 14 rushing yards. With the win, the Elks improve to a record of four wins and one loss and are tied for first place in the West Division with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Philpot had a seven-yard touchdown catch from wide receiver Tyler Snead in a 37-30 Alouettes win over the Calgary Stampeders in Montreal on Saturday night. Philpot put the Alouettes up 10-0 at 8:21 of the first quarter. He had nine catches for 132 yards and one rush for 16 yards in the game. For the season, Philpot has 45 catches for 719 receiving yards and four touchdown catches, along with one rush for 16 yards. With the win, the Alouettes are first in the East with a record of four wins and one loss.
Emilus had a 10-yard touchdown catch from Trevor Harris in a 38-7 Saskatchewan Roughriders win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in Regina on Sunday night. Emilus put the Roughriders up 11-4 with one minute and 39 seconds left in the second quarter. For the game, Emilus had six catches for 72 receiving yards. For the season, Emilus has 23 catches for 364 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
Schaffer-Baker had an 18-yard touchdown catch from Harris at 9:45 of the third quarter. At the time, the Roughriders went up 18-7. For the game, Schaffer-Baker had seven catches for 78 receiving yards. For the season, Schaffer-Baker has 34 catches for 471 receiving yards and three touchdown catches.
