
Pool A is now complete at the 2026 Calgary Stampede and two Canadians have qualified for the Showdown Sunday. They are women’s breakaway roper Jenna Dallyn of Nanton, Alberta and bareback rider Ethan Mazurenko of Thorhild, Alberta.
Dallyn finished in first place in the Pool A aggregate standings with $15, 166.67. She had the second fastest time in Friday’s performance with a time of 3.4 seconds, the third fastest time in Saturday’s performance with a time of 3.5 seconds and the fastest time in Sunday’s performance with a time of 3.4 seconds. Cadee Williams of Belgrade, Montana and Celie Rogers of Choteau, Montana also had a time of 3.4 seconds on Sunday. The other two cowgirls who made the Showdown Sunday from Pool A in the women’s breakaway roping were Payton Scalzo of Stephanville, Texas, and Williams.
Mazurenko finished third in the bareback in the Pool A aggregate standings with $8625.00. He finished in fourth place on Sunday. The other two bareback riders to advance to the Sunday Showdown are Garrett Shadbolt of Merriman, Nebraska and Cole Franks of Clarendon, Texas.
In the Rangeland Derby, Rae Croteau Jr. of Strathmore, Alberta had the fastest Sunday time of 1:14.46, Croteau Jr. is also the aggregate leader after three days as he has a chuckwagon racing time of 3:39.02.
