We now enter the middle Sunday of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, with a lot on store. Canada has genuine medal opportunities in the men’s hammer throw (world champion Ethan Katzberg) and swimming (women’s 4×100 medley relay). We also have Wyatt Sanford of Kennetcook, Nova Scotia in the boxing ring, Eric Peters of Ottawa, Ontario in archery, Canada facing Japan in men’s team foil fencing, and Canada facing Nigeria in women’s basketball. It is a must win situation for Canada, and they will have an indication how much they have to beat Nigeria by based on the result between Japan and Belgium on Sunday. Canada also will battle for position in women’s water polo as they take on the Netherlands. Canada is currently at one win and two losses. Here is Canada’s schedule for day eight.
