Ben Andersen continues to lead saddle bronc at the 2022 Calgary Stampede

Ben Andersen of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta continues to lead the saddle bronc in the Pool B Standings at the 2022 Calgary Stampede. On Wednesday, Andersen posted a score of 86.5 points and was tied with Damian Brennan of Injune, Australia for the best result in the event. Andersen now has $10, 500 and leads second place Lefty Holman of Visalia, California by $5,250.

It was also a good day for Logan Hay of Wildwood, Alberta in the saddle bronc. On Wednesday. he had the third best score of 85.5 points and is tied with Brody Cress of Hillsdale, Wyoming, and Brennan for third place in the aggregate standings with $5,000 each.

In the bull riding, Dakota Buttar of Eatonia, Saskatchewan and Coy Robbins of Camrose, Alberta are tied for second place in the Pool B standings with $4500. Robbins had the second best score on Wednesday with 85 points. Creek Young of Rogersville, Missouri has posted the best score during the first two performances in Pool B action. He had a score of 87.5 points on Tuesday and 88 points on Wednesday for $11,000. Lonnie West of Cadogan, Alberta is still in fourth place in the aggregate standings with $3500 even though he was bucked off his bull on Wednesday. West is tied with Maverick Potter of Waxahachie, Texas.

In the steer wrestling, Harley Cole of Okotoks, Alberta had the third best time of five seconds. Cole is now sixth overall in the Pool B standings.

In the Rangeland Derby chuckwagon racing event, Chanse Vigen of Calgary, Alberta had the fastest time on Wednesday at one minute and 12 seconds. Layne MacGillivray of Halkirk, Alberta is the overall leader at 7:23.45.
