Andrew Harris continues to be a dynamic player for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Andrew Harris of Winnipeg, Manitoba is once again a difference maker for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers offensively. On Friday at Investors Group Field in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Harris scored a touchdown receiving as the Blue Bombers dismantled the Ottawa Red Blacks 31-1. With the win, the Blue Bombers improved to a perfect record of five wins and zero losses and are the only team in the Canadian Football League undefeated.

Harris’s touchdown against Ottawa came early in the second quarter when he caught a 15 yard pass from Blue Bombers quarterback Matt Nichols. At the time, the Blue Bombers took a 13-1 lead. During the game, Harris had five catches for 68 yards and 14 carries for 63 yards, for 131 total yards.

On the season, Harris is third in the CFL in rushing yards with 441. He is behind William Stanback of the Montreal Alouettes with 504 yards and CJ Gable of the Edmonton Eskimos with 448 yards.

Harris’s three receiving touchdowns is also third in the CFL. He is behind Lemar Durant of the British Columbia Lions and Eric Rogers of the Calgary Stampeders, who each have four touchdown catches. Harris also has 23 catches for 169 yards.

In other week six action, the Calgary Stampeders beat the Toronto Argonauts 26-16, the Montreal Alouettes beat the Edmonton Eskimos 20-10 and the Saskatchewan Roughriders beat the British Columbia Lions 38-25. It was the first time in five years that the Alouettes beat the Eskimos.
