Alouettes sign fullback Marco Dubois

The Montreal Alouettes have signed fullback Marco Dubois of Lasalle, Quebec according to the Canadian Football League website on Wednesday. The Alouettes are the second Canadian Football League team that Dubois has played for. He previously played the last seven seasons with the Ottawa Redblacks.

This past season, Dubois had two catches for 38 receiving yards. For his career, he has 22 catches for 331 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown. The touchdown catch was for 54 yards from Tyrie Adams and came in a 26-7 Redblacks win over the Edmonton Elks on June 30, 2023 at the Toronto Dominion Place in Ottawa, Ontario. At the time, the major score put the Redblacks up 10-0 with three minutes and 52 seconds left in the first quarter.

In Dubois’s career he has one rushing yard. It came in the 2021 CFL season.

Dubois also had six special team tackles in 18 games this past season. In Dubois’s career, he has 33 special teams tackles and one defensive tackle in 120 CFL regular season games. The defensive tackle came in a 24-17 Redblacks win over the Montreal Alouettes on August 11, 2018 at TD Place.

In his university career, Dubois played for Laval University. He was the Redblacks’s second round pick, 13th overall, in the 2018 Canadian Football League Draft.
