
Abby Hustler of St. Louis, Prince Edward Island has signed a two-year contract with Hamilton in the Professional Women’s Hockey League according to thepwhl.com on Sunday. Hustler is the first player from PEI to ever play in the PWHL.
Hustler was a rookie in 2025-26. She played with the Minnesota Frost. In 30 games, she had four goals and nine assists for 13 points. Hustler was a +5 with 10 penalty minutes, two power-play goals, two game-winning goals, nine blocked shots and 54 hits.
Hustler’s first power-play goal came in a 2-1 Frost win over the Vancouver Goldeneyes on December 27. Hustler opened the scoring at 1:18 of the first period from defenders Mae Batherson of New Minas, Nova Scotia and Kendall Cooper of Burlington, Ontario on an all-Canadian goal. Hustler’s first game-winning goal came in a 4-1 Frost win over the Seattle Torrent on March 13, 2026. Hustler scored from Grace Zumwinkle and Cooper with two minutes and 32 seconds left in the first period to put the Frost up 2-0 at the time.
Hustler’s second power-play goal and second game-winning goal came in a 4-1 Frost won over the New York Sirens on April 11. Hustler put the Frost up 2-1 at 5:30 of the third period from Batherson and Britta Curl-Salemme.
In the 2026 PWHL playoffs, Hustler had one assist for one point in five games. She was a -1 with six penalty minutes, two blocked shots, and seven shots.
