The Toronto Blue Jays are off to the 2025 World Series. On Monday, they defeated the Seattle Mariners 4-3 thanks to a dramatic seventh inning home run by George Springer in the seventh game of the American League Championship Series. The Blue Jays also beat the Mariners 4-3 in the best out of seven ALCS. Next up are the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Blue Jays have home field advantage with game one starting on Friday night at the Rogers Centre.

In the ALCS, Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of Montreal, Quebec was named the series most valuable player. The dual citizen (also Dominican), batted .385 in the series with 10 hits in 26 at bats. He scored six runs and had six extra base hits (three doubles and three home runs), three runs batted in, four walks, 22 total bases, an on base percentage of .484 and a slugging percentage of .846. The fact Guerrero Jr. was named ALCS MVP was even more impressive when you consider the fact he did not get a base hit in the first two games of the series in Toronto. Guerrero Jr.’s best game of the series was game three this past Wednesday, a 13-4 Blue Jays win. Guerrero had two doubles, one home run and one single, scored three runs and had one run batted in.
