With the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milan/Cortina d’Ampezzo just over three months away, Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry of Surrey, British Columbia is slowly putting himself into the Team Canada goalie conversation. After four games, Jarry has put together some solid statistics.
Jarry has a record of three wins and one loss with a goals against average of 2.52, a save percentage of .921, and is one of two Canadian goaltenders to record a National Hockey League shutout this season. The other is Edmonton Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner of Edmonton, Alberta.
Jarry’s shutout this season came on October 18 in a 3-0 Penguins win over the San Jose Sharks. Jarry made 31 saves for the shutout. He made 11 saves in the first period, 11 saves in the second period, and nine saves in the third period. This was Jarry’s 22nd shutout in his NHL career. All 22 shutouts have come with the Penguins.
So far this season in Pittsburgh, Jarry has been sharing the workload at the goaltender position with Arturs Silovs. The Penguins are in second place in the Metropolitan Division with 13 points. With a record of six wins, two regulation losses, and one loss in extra time, they are three points back of the first place New Jersey Devils.
