Top seven Canadians in 2025 NBA Playoffs

The 2025 National Basketball Association playoffs begin on Saturday. There are seven Canadians who averaged 10 points or more per game during the regular season that are on NBA postseason rosters. Let’s take a look at who they are.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

The Oklahoma City Thunder guard from Toronto, Ontario led the NBA in scoring this past season with 32.7 points per game. Gilgeous-Alexander averaged 6.4 assists per game, five rebounds per game, 1.7 steals per game, and one block per game. He also had a free throw percentage of .519, three point percentage of .375, and free throw percentage of .898. The Thunder play the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round.

Jamal Murray

The Denver Nuggets guard from Kitchener, Ontario averaged 21.4 points per game, six assists per game, 3.9 rebounds per game, and 1.4  steals per game. Murray also has a free throw percentage of .474, three point percentage of .393, and free throw percentage of .886. The Nuggets play the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round.

Andrew Wiggins

The forward from Toronto averaged 18 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per game, 2.6 assists per game, and one steal per game with the Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat. Wiggins had a field goal percentage of .448, three point percentage of .374, and free throw percentage of .763. Wiggins’s Miami Heat will play the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round.

Bennedict Mathurin

The small forward from Montreal, Quebec averaged 16.1 points per game, 5.3 rebounds per game, and 1.9 assists per game with the Indiana Pacers. Mathurin had a field goal percentage of .458, three point percentage of .340, and field goal percentage of .831. The Pacers play the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round.

Dillon Brooks

The small forward from Mississauga, Ontario averaged 14 points per game, 3.7 rebounds per game, and 1.7 assists per game with the Houston Rockets. Brooks had a field goal percentage of .429, three point percentage of .397, and free throw percentage of .818. The Rockets will play the Golden State Warriors in the first round.

Luguentz Dort

The small forward from Montreal averaged 10.1 points per game, 4.1 rebounds per game, 1.6 assists per game, and 1.1 steals per game with the Thunder. He has a field goal percentage of .435, three point percentage of .412 and free throw percentage of .717.

Andrew Nembhard

The guard from Aurora, Ontario averaged 10 points per game, five assists per game, and 1.2 steals per game with the Pacers. He had a field goal percentage of .458, three point percentage of .291, and a free throw percentage of .794.
