The 2026 Scotties Tournament of Hearts are three days into the competition from Mississauga, Ontario, and three teams are currently undefeated. They are Team Canada’s Kerri Einarson, Manitoba’s Kelsey Calvert and Manitoba’s Kaitlyn Lawes.
It is interesting that all three of the teams undefeated are from the province of Manitoba. Einarson is from Selkirk, and her curling team is based in Gimli. Calvert, who was previously Kelsey Rocque before marrying Manitoba based curler Braden Calvert, is based in Winnipeg, while Lawes is also based in Winnipeg. It should be noted that Calvert’s team is known as Team Peterson (named after Winnipeg’s Beth Peterson), and Winnipeg’s Selena Njegovan plays an instrumental role with Team Lawes, as she has been the skip may times this year.
To date, Einarson has outscored her opponents 29-16, Lawes has outscored her opponents 32-14, and Calvert has outscored her opponents 27-14. Einarson and Lawes are in Pool A, while Calvert is in Pool B.
On Saturday, Einarson was in a battle with Ontario’s Hailey Armstrong. After nine ends, Armstrong led 6-5 before losing 7-6. Peterson, meanwhile needed 11 ends before defeating Nova Scotia’s Christina Black by the same score of 7-6. On Monday night, two of the undefeated teams play against each other as Einarson plays Lawes.
