There are now four teams left at the 2026 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Mississauga, Ontario. On Friday night, Edmonton’s Selena Sturmay and Halifax’s Christina Black put through dominant performances in the Page 3/4 qualifier games. Sturmay clobbered Manitoba champion Kelsey Calvert 10-4, and in an all-Nova Scotia battle, Black defeated Taylour Stevens by a score of 11-6. As a result, Sturmay will play Black on Saturday morning at 11 AM MT in the 3-4 game.
In Saturday’s win over Calvert, Sturmay had back-to-back ends where she stole three points. Meanwhile, Black got off to a marvelous start as she scored four points in the first end and had a commanding 5-0 lead after two ends.
Also on Friday, we found out the two teams that would play in the 1-2 page playoff game. This will be an all-Manitoba battle on Saturday night as Team Canada’s Kerri Einarson of Gimli will face Winnipeg’s Kaitlyn Lawes. The Lawes team is technically skipped by Selena Njegovan, with Lawes throwing fourth stones. In the Page 1/2 qualifier games, Einarson defeated Calvert 8-5 and Lawes defeated Black 8-6.
It was a bizarre tournament for Calvert. She went undefeated with a record of eight wins and zero losses in Pool B, but then lost her two playoff games on Friday and has been eliminated from the tournament.
