Selena Njegovan of Winnipeg, Manitoba will be skipping a new curling team starting in 2026-27. Njegovan threw third rocks for Kaitlyn Lawes the last four years, but was in search of a new team when Lawes and lead Kristin Gordon announced they were taking a year off from curling, and with the announcement that second Jocelyn Peterman was joining Kerri Einarson as her new lead.

Njegovan’s new third is Erin Pincott of Richmond, British Columbia. Pincott is moving from British Columbia, where she played third for Corryn Brown, to Manitoba. Pincott is currently dating 2026 Brier champion and world championship silver medalist Matt Dunstone of Winnipeg. Njegovan’s new second is Margot Flemming of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, who has skipped with Kerry Galusha and Kayla Skrlik over the last six years. Njegovan’s new lead is Krysten Karwacki of Winnipeg, who was the fifth for Einarson.

The fact that Njegovan is curling at all is interesting. That is because according to The Curling News, she is expecting twins. It has also been reported that Selena Njegovan’s husband Connor Njegovan will take some time off from curling according to the Grand Slam of Curling. Connor Njegovan had been the lead over the last decade for notable Manitoba skips such as Jeff Stoughton, Matt Dunstone, Jason Gunnlaugson, Reid Carruthers, and Brad Jacobs.
