The Toronto Raptors got off to a tough start in the 2022 National Basketball Association postseason. They lost their first three games of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals to the Philadelphia 76ers by scores of 131-111, 112-97, and 104-101 in overtime. The game three loss was heartbreaking as the 76ers won the game on a game-winning three-point shot with eight tenths of a second left by five-time All-Star Joel Embiid.

However on Saturday, the momentum in the series shifted. The Raptors stayed alive in the best out of seven series with a 110-102 win. Pascal Siakam had 34 points to lead the Raptors. He was one of four players on Toronto to reach double digits in scoring. Gary Trent Jr. had 24 points, Thaddeus Young had 13 points, and OG Anunoby had 11 points. Young reached double digits in scoring despite not being in a starting role.

It was also a strong game defensively for the NBA Rookie of the Year Scottie Barnes, who had 11 rebounds (all defensive rebounds) coming off the bench. Barnes missed game two and three of the series with an ankle injury. Meanwhile, Siakam and Young led the Raptors with five assists each.

The news was not all great for the Raptors on Saturday. Fred VanVleet suffered a hip flexor injury and is questionable for game five in Philadelphia on Monday.
