Raptors pound Grizzlies 128-96

The Toronto Raptors clobbered the Memphis Grizzlies 128-96 at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee on Good Friday. This was the ninth time this season the Raptors beat their opponent by 20 points or more. They previously beat the Atlanta Hawks 138-118 on October 22, the Milwaukee Bucks 128-100 on November 4, the Washington Wizards 140-110 on November 21, the Miami Heat 112-91 on December 23, the Bucks again 122-94 on February 22, the Dallas Mavericks 122-92 on March 8, the Chicago Bulls 139-109 on March 18, and the Orlando Magic 139-87 on March 29.

In the Raptors’s win over the Grizzlies, Toronto outscored Memphis in every quarter. They outscored Memphis 26-21 in the first quarter, 33-20 in the second quarter, 37-31 in the third quarter, and 32-24 in the fourth quarter.

Six Raptors reached double digits in scoring. Once again it was a strong performance by Raptors small forward RJ Barrett of Toronto, Ontario, who led the Raptors with 25 points. Meanwhile, Collin Murray-Boyles had 19 points, Brandon Ingram had 17 points, Jamal Shead had 11 points, and Scottie Barnes and Sandro Mamukelashvili had 10 points each.

The Raptors improved to a record of 43 wins and 34 losses with the win. They are in a sixth place tie with the Philadelphia 76ers in the Eastern Conference with the win. The Raptors have five more regular season games left. They are to play Boston on Sunday, Miami on Tuesday and Thursday, the New York Knicks on Friday and the Brooklyn Nets next Sunday.
