
The Toronto Raptors are 17 games into the 2025-26 National Basketball Association season, and they have got off to a phenomenal start. They are currently at 12 wins and five losses, and are in second place in the Eastern Conference, only behind the Detroit Pistons, which are at 14 wins and two losses.
Toronto won their seventh straight game on Sunday, as they beat the Brooklyn Nets 119-109. Scottie Barnes led the Raptors attack with 17 points. One serious concern from the win however was the fact RJ Barrett of Toronto, Ontario suffered a knee sprain. Meanwhile, center Jakob Poeltl is dealing with a back ailment and did not play against the Nets.
The Raptors have had three notable blowout wins this season. In their opening game, Toronto spanked Atlanta 138-118 on October 22. They also beat Milwaukee 128-100 on November 4, and the Washington Wizards 140-110 on Friday night. The wins over the Hawks ands Bucks were noteworthy because Atlanta and Milwaukee were better than Toronto last season. Barrett led the Raptors in scoring against the Hawks as he had 25 points. Barrett and Barnes were co-leaders in scoring against the Bucks as they had 23 points each. Meanwhile, in the Raptors win over the Wizards, Toronto qualified for the quarterfinals of the 2025 NBA Cup as a result. Barrett and Brandon Ingram led the Raptors with 24 points each.
