Nine notable Canadians traded on final two days of 2022 NHL Trade Deadline

The 2022 National Trade Deadline took place on Monday. Here are nine Canadians who were traded on the final two days of the deadline.

9) Brett Kulak–The Edmonton native was traded from the Montreal Canadiens to the Edmonton Oilers for William Lagesson and two draft picks. This season Kulak, a defenceman, has three goals and 10 assists for 13 points.

8) Andrew Cogliano–The Toronto native was traded from the San Jose Sharks to the Colorado Avalanche for a fifth round draft pick in 2024. This season, Cogliano, a forward, has four goals and 11 assists for 15 points.

7) Derick Brassard–The Hull, Quebec native was traded from the Philadelphia Flyers to the Oilers for a fourth round draft pick in 2023. This season, Brassard, a center, has six goals and 10 assists for 16 points.

6) Scott Wedgewood–The Brampton, Ontario native was traded from the Arizona Coyotes to the Dallas Stars for a conditional fourth round pick. This season, Wedgewood has a record of 10-14-3, a goals against average of 3.16, and a save percentage of .909.

4) Mathieu Joseph–The Laval, Quebec native was traded from the Tampa Bay Lightning to the Ottawa Senators. So far this season, Joseph, a right winger, has eight goals and 10 assists for 18 points.

4) Nick Paul–The Mississauga, Ontario native was traded from the Senators to the Lightning for Joseph. In addition to acquiring Joseph, the Senators picked up a fourth round draft pick in 2024. So far this season, Paul, a left winger, has 11 goals and seven assists for 18 points.

3) Marc-Andre Fleury–The Sorel, Quebec native was traded from the Chicago Blackhawks to the Minnesota Wild for a conditional second round draft pick in 2022. The pick becomes a first rounder if the Wild make the Western Conference Finals and Fleury wins four playoff games in the first two rounds. This season, Fleury has a record of 19-21-5, four shutouts, a goals against average of 2.95, and a save percentage of .908.

2) Mark Giordano–The Toronto native was traded from the Seattle Kraken to the Toronto Maple Leafs with center Colin Blackwell for three draft picks. A defenseman, Giordano had six goals and 17 assists for 23 points.

1) Max Domi–The Winnipeg native was traded in a to the Carolina Hurricanes in a three-way deal involving the Columbus Blue Jackets and Florida Panthers. A forward, Domi has nine goals and 23 assists for 32 points with Columbus in 2021-22.
