Nick Taylor and Richard Lee in contention at 2025 Canadian Open

Canadians Nick Taylor of Winnipeg, Manitoba and Richard Lee of Toronto, Ontario are both in contention after two rounds of the 2025 RBC Canadian Open in Caledon, Ontario, one hour outside of Toronto, Ontario. Taylor and Lee are both at nine-under-par, and three strokes back of the leader, Cameron Champ of the United States who is in first place at -12.

Taylor and Lee are both in third place at the moment. Taylor had a first round score of four-under-par 66, and a second round score of five-under-par 65. In the first round, Taylor had six birdies and two bogeys. He birdied the first, third, fourth, eighth, 10th, and 12th holes, and bogeyed the second and ninth holes. In the second round, Taylor had seven birdies and two bogeys. He birdied the first, fourth, sixth, eighth, ninth, 10th, and 18th holes, and bogeyed the 13th and 15th holes. Lee had a first round score of three-under-par 67, and a second round score of six-under-par 64. In the first round, Lee had one eagle, five birdies and four bogeys. Lee eagled the 18th hole, birdied the first, second, third, sixth, and 10th holes, and bogeyed fifth, seventh, 12th, and 15th holes. In the second round, Lee had six birdies and zero bogeys. He birdied the first, second, third, fourth, seventh, and 11th holes.

Alone in second place is American Andrew Putnam at -10. Meanwhile, Taylor and Lee are tied with France’s Victor Perez and Denmark’s Thorbjorn Olesen for third place.
