Pivetta threw seven innings, and only gave up one earned run. During 89 pitches, he had 60 strikes, and five strikeouts. Pivetta gave up one hit, zero walks and one home run.

For the season, Pivetta now has a record of 11 wins and three losses with an earned run average of 2.73. In 22 games, he has given up 89 hits, 39 earned runs, and 14 home runs, to go along with 136 strikeouts and a WHIP (walks and hits per innings pitched) of 0.94.
