
Week 15 is in the books in the Canadian Football League for the 2025 regular season. Two Canadians registered touchdowns for winning teams. They were British Columbia Lions quarterback Nathan Rourke of Victoria, British Columbia and Montreal Alouettes wide receiver Tyson Philpot of Delta, British Columbia.
Rourke completed 21 of 26 passes for 308 passing yards and one touchdown pass along with five rushes for 36 rushing yards and two touchdown runs in a 38-27 Lions win over the Ottawa Redblacks on Friday. Rourke’s touchdown runs were for one and four yards, and he had a 19 yard touchdown pass to Keon Hatcher. On the season, Rourke has completed 247 passes in 360 attempts for 3604 passing yards, with 20 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He also has 40 rushes for 381 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns.
Philpot had nine catches for 238 receiving yards and two touchdowns in a 48-31 Alouettes win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Saturday. His touchdown catches were for 59 yards and 16 yards from McLeod Bethel-Thompson. Philpot also had one rush for five yards. On the season, Philpot has 37 catches for 556 receiving yards and five touchdown catches. With the wins, the Lions and Alouettes are both at six wins and seven losses. Montreal is second in the East, and BC is tied with Winnipeg for third in the West.
