Nathan Rourke and Quincy Vaughn contribute to Week 21 CFL touchdowns for winning teams

The 2025 Canadian Football League regular season completed on Saturday with Week 21. There were two Canadians who contributed to touchdowns on winning teams. They were quarterback Nathan Rourke of the British Columbia Lions and quarterback Quincy Vaughn of the Calgary Stampeders.

Vaughn of Brantford, Ontario had a one yard touchdown run on Friday night in a 20-10 Stampeders win over the Edmonton Elks. Vaughn’s major score opened the scoring at 4:58 of the first quarter. He had four rushes for six rushing yards in the game. On the season, Vaughn completed one pass for five passing yards. He also had 37 rushes for 67 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns.

Rourke completed 23 of 28 passes for 368 passing yards, three touchdowns and one interception on Saturday in a 27-21 Lions win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Two of Rourke’s touchdown passes went to Ayden Eberhardt (22 and 63 yards), and the other went to Keon Hatcher (seven yards). Rourke also had one rush in the game for five rushing yards. On the season, Rourke completed 352 passes in 500 attempts for 5290 passing yards, 31 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. He also had 61 rushes for 564 rushing yards, and 10 touchdown rushes.

With the wins, the Stampeders and Lions had identical records of 11 wins and seven losses. The franchises will play next weekend in the Western Division Semi-final. The winner will play the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Western Final.

Meanwhile, in the East, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers will crossover as they were better than the Toronto Argonauts and Ottawa Redblacks. Winnipeg will play the Montreal Alouettes in the Eastern Division semifinal, with the winner playing the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Eastern Division Final.
