
Canadian Olympic bronze medalist Marion Thenault of Sherbrooke, Quebec won a World Cup silver medal in women’s moguls on Tuesday in Lac Beauport, Quebec. For Thenault, it was her 13th World Cup medal. She has now won four gold medals, five silver medals, and four bronze medals.
Thenault had a score on Tuesday of 81.78 points. Winter Vinecki of the United States won the gold medal with a score of 93.58 points. Emma Weiss of Germany won the bronze medal with a score of 79.33 points. Thenault reached the podium by 7.83 points over Tasia Tanner of the United States. Tanner had a fourth place score of 73.95 points.
This was Thenault’s second World Cup medal this season. She previously won a silver medal in Ruka, Finland. There she placed behind Mengtao Xu of China.
In the women’s moguls World Cup standings for 2025-26, Thenault is in third place with 160 points. She is behind Xu with 200 points, and Meiting Chen of China, who has 185 points.
Thenault’s Olympic medal came at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing. She teamed up with Miha Fontaine of Magog, Quebec and Lewis Irving of Quebec City, Quebec to win bronze in mixed team aerials. The silver medal in Lac Beauport, will give Thenault confidence as she prepares for the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milan/Cortina d’Ampezzo next month.
