The Edmonton Oilers have acquired a goaltender as the regular season is about to begin. On Wednesday, they added Connor Ingram of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan for future considerations according to the Canadian Press. It appears that for now, Ingram will be the starting goaltender for the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League. Stuart Skinner of Edmonton, Alberta will be the starting goaltender and Calvin Pickard of Moncton, New Brunswick will be the backup.

Ingram will be joining his fourth organization. He was previously with the Nashville Predators, Arizona Coyotes, and Utah Ice Hockey Club. It should be noted that the Coyotes and Utah are officially considered two different organizations even though the players from Arizona went to Utah when the Coyotes organization folded.

Last season, Ingram had a record of nine wins, eight regulation losses and four losses in extra time. He had a goals against average of 3.27 and a save percentage of .882. Ingram did take a leave of absence from the Mammoth due to the death of his mother, who passed away from breast cancer.

Ingram’s breakout season in the NHL came in 2023-24. That season he led the NHL in shutouts with six while with the Coyotes in their final NHL season.
