
MacKenzie Hughes of Hamilton, Ontario is in contention at the 2025 RBC Canadian Open near Toronto, Ontario. The two-time winner on the PGA Tour is tied for sixth place and two strokes back of the leaders after round three.
On Saturday, Hughes shot a score of six-under-par 64. He had eight birdies and two bogeys. Hughes birdied the first, second, sixth, eighth, 10th, 12th, 13th, and 18th holes, and bogeyed the third and ninth holes.
Hughes began the Canadian Open on Thursday with a score of two-under-par 68. He had one eagle on the fifth hole, two birdies and two bogeys. Hughes birdied the first and 18th holes, and bogeyed the seventh and 17th holes. Hughes’s eagle was a 194 yard approach shot. Then on Friday in round two, Hughes made five birdies and one bogey. Hughes birdied the first, third, fourth, sixth, and 16th holes, and bogeyed the 10th hole.
Matteo Manassero of Italy and Ryan Fox of New Zealand are the co-leaders at -14. There is a three-way tie for third at -13. There you can find South Korea’s Kevin Yu, and Americans Lee Hodges and Matt McCarty. Hughes is tied for sixth place with Americans Jake Knapp and Andrew Putnam at -12. There is then a seven-way tie for ninth place at -11. There you can find Americans Cameron Champ and Cameron Young, South Korea’s Byeong Hun An, Rico Hoey of the Philippines, Victor Perez of France, David Skinns of England, and Cristobal Del Solar of Chile.
