Arizona Coyotes goaltender Connor Ingram of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan was named the NHL’s First Star of the Week for the period from November 27 to December 3. However, Ingram’s best performance recently came on November 25, two days before receiving his recent National Hockey League honour.

Nine nights ago in Vegas, Ingram blanked the defending Stanley Cup champion Vegas Golden Knights 2-0 from the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. Ingram made 13 saves in the first period, seven saves in the second period, and 14 saves in the third period for 34 saves overall. Jack Eichel led the Golden Knights with eight shots on goal. Offensively for the Coyotes, Lawson Crouse of Mount Brydges, Ontario scored a key insurance marker with one minute and 17 seconds left in the third period into an empty net.

Ingram’s only other NHL shutout came on February 15, 2023. He made a remarkable 47 saves on 47 shots in a 1-0 Coyotes win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Ingram was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning, however he never played for them. He was traded to the Nashville Predators for a seventh round draft pick on June 14, 2019. After appearing in three games for the Predators in the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Ingram was selected off waivers by the Coyotes on October 10, 2022.
