The London Knights have improved to a record of two wins and zero losses at the 2025 Memorial Cup in Rimouski, Quebec. On Sunday, the Knights defeated the host franchise, Rimouski Oceanic by a score of 3-1. This was the second straight game where the Knights defeated a team from the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League. On Saturday, the Knights beat the QMJHL champion Moncton Wildcats 3-2 in overtime.

The Knights’ top point producer on Sunday was right winger Easton Cowan of Mount Brydges, Ontario. Cowan led the Knights with two points, as he scored one insurance goal into an empty net, and added an assist on the game-winning goal by Jacob Julien of London, Ontario. Cowan was the Toronto Maple Leafs’s first round pick, 28th overall, in the 2023 National Hockey League Draft, and now has 12 points (four goals and eight assists) in six career Memorial Cup games over the last two seasons.

The Knights will next play Tuesday against the Western Hockey League champion Medicine Hat Tigers. On Monday, the Tigers will face the Wildcats. Like London, Medicine Hat is undefeated. However, the Tigers have only played once. They defeated the Oceanic by a score of 5-4 to open the tournament on Friday night.
