We are now five days into the 2026 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Mississauga, Ontario and the leader in Pool A and Pool B are both undefeated. In Pool A, Winnipeg’s Kaitlyn Lawes has a record of six wins and zero losses, and in Pool B, Winnipeg’s Kelsey Calvert has a record of five wins and zero losses.

In Tuesday’s action, Lawes won her only game as she clobbered Yukon’s Bayly Scoffin by a score of 9-4. It was an unbelievable start for Team Lawes as she stole five points over the first three ends. Three of the points came in the first end. On Wednesday, Lawes will play only once for a second straight day after getting a bye in the Wednesday morning draw. On Wednesday evening, Lawes will face Nicky Kaufman of the Northwest Territories. The Yellowknife-based team has one win to date. That came on Saturday when they beat Yukon 10-5. The key shot came in the fifth end when Kaufman scored four points.

Calvert won a very tight contest as she defeated Amanda Power of Prince Edward Island by a score of 8-7. Calvert did not protect their lead well. The Manitoba based rink had a 6-1 lead after five ends, however Power dominated the second half ion the game and forced an extra end.
