Week 14 in the Canadian Football League is now in the books and one Canadian registered a touchdown for a winning team. That was Edmonton Elks wide receiver Kaion Julien-Grant of Toronto, Ontario.

On Saturday in a 31-19 Elks win over the Calgary Stampeders in Edmonton, Alberta, Julien-Grant caught a 19 yard touchdown pass from Elks quarterback Cody Fajardo with seven minutes and 27 seconds left in the football game. At the time, the Elks took a 28-19 lead.

For the game, Julien-Grant had five catches for 48 receiving yards. For the season, he has 33 catches for 482 receiving yards, and a career-high six touchdown catches. In the six prior seasons with the Montreal Alouettes combined, Julien-Grant had four touchdown catches.

Calgary entered the game as a 7.5 point favourite, but lost the game by 12 points. One area where the Stampeders struggled mightily was their rush defense. The Elks had a strong game from running back Justin Rankin, who had 16 rushes for 204 rushing yards, and two touchdowns. His longest run was 90 yards, and he averaged 12.8 yards per rush.

With the win, the Elks improved to a record of five wins and seven losses. After a slow start, Edmonton has now won four of their last five games. Calgary is second in the West at eight wins and four losses.
