Jamal Murray named NBA’s Western Conference Player of the Week

Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray of Kitchener, Ontario has been named the National Basketball Association’s Western Conference Player of the Week for the week from December 1-7, 2025. In four games, Murray averaged 29.8 points per game, 7.5 assists per game and 4.5 rebounds per game.

Also in the four games, Murray averaged 7.5 assists per game, and 4.5 rebounds per game. He had a field goal percentage of .595, free throw percentage of .929, and three point percentage of .621.

In the four games, the Nuggets has a record of three wins and one loss. Murray had 52 points, six rebounds, four assists and one steal on December 3 in a 135-120 Nuggets win over the Indiana Pacers. Then on December 5, Murray had 23 points, 12 assists, five rebounds, two steals and one block in a 134-133 come-from-behind Nuggets win over the Atlanta Hawks. Then on Sunday, Murray had 34 points, three rebounds, five assists and one steal in a 115-106 Nuggets win over the Charlotte Hornets.

In 2025-26, Murray is averaging 25 points per game, 6.8 assists per game, 4.5 rebounds per game, and 1.1 steals per game. He also has a field goal percentage of .506, free throw percentage of .898, and three point percentage of .447.

Twice in the month of November, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of Toronto, Ontario was the NBA Player of the Week. He was first honoured on November 2, and then again on November 23.

The Nuggets are at 17 wins and six losses. They have the second best record in the West, only behind the Thunder.
