Inside look at Freddie Freeman’s great week with the Dodgers

Canadian Freddie Freeman was named the National League Player of the Week for the period from May 5 to 11, 2025. In seven games, he batted .500 with three home runs and 12 runs batted in.

During the week, Freeman collected a hit in six of seven games. In five of the seven games, Freeman collected two hits or more. On Sunday, he had two doubles, one single and one home run in an 8-1 Dodgers win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

In all, Freeman had seven hits (four singles, two home runs and one triple) in a series against the Miami Marlins where the Dodgers won two games. Then he had seven more hits (three doubles, four singles and one home run) in a four game series split against the Diamondbacks. During the week, Freeman also scored seven runs, and had two walks and two sacrifice flies and 28 total bases.

For the season, Freeman has also been masterful. He leads the National League with a .376 batting average, .437 on base percentage, and .734 slugging percentage. Freeman also has scored 22 runs, and had 41 hits, 10 doubles, one triple, 13 walks, 80 total bases, and three sacrifice flies.

The Dodgers have the best record in all of baseball. They are at 27 wins and 14 losses.
