The Toronto Raptors won one of their most exciting games of the 2025-26 National Basketball Association season on Wednesday. Immanuel Quickley made a buzzer beater as time expired in a 97-96 Raptors win over the Charlotte Hornets. Quickley’s shot was a three-point from 26 feet with Sandro Mamukelashvili picking up the assist. At the time of the shot, the Raptors were down 96-94, and Quickley came up in the clutch.
This was the Raptors’s first buzzer beater win since April 5, 2021. That is when Gary Trent Jr. made a three-point shot from 26 feet in a 103-101 Raptors win over the Washington Wizards.
With Quickley’s game-winning shot, the Raptors improved to a record of 23 wins and 15 losses. That is the fourth best record in the Eastern Conference. Toronto is behind Detroit, New York and Boston.
Four Raptors reached double digits in scoring. Canadian small forward R.J. Barrett of Toronto, Ontario led the Raptors with 28 points. Quickley had 21 points, Scottie Barnes had 17 points and Mamukleashvili had 10 points. Collin Murray-Boyles, the Raptors’s first round pick, ninth overall, in the 2025 NBA Draft, led the Raptors with 15 rebounds.
The next three Raptors games will be against divisional opponents. They will play the Boston Celtics on Friday, before hosting the Philadelphia 76ers in both games of a back-to-back on Sunday and Monday.
