Next up for Diallo is the sixth seed, Alex de Minaur of Australia. De Minaur won the only prior meeting. That was in the second round of the 2023 National Bank Open in Toronto. De Minaur came through with a 6-4, 7-5 win.

There are two Canadians left in the Paris Indoors draw. The other is Felix Auger Aliassime of Montreal, Quebec, the two-time United States Open semifinalist (2021 and 2025), and Canadian Olympic bronze medalist. The world number 10 who won a bronze medal in mixed doubles at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris with Gabriela Dabrowski of Ottawa, Ontario, beat Francisco Comesana of Argentina 6-7, 6-3, 6-3 in the first round on Tuesday.
