The Major League Baseball regular season begins on Wednesday with the San Francisco Giants and New York Yankees. Here are the 14 best Canadians to start the 2026 regular season. The players on the list batted above .200 this past season or had an earned run average under 5.00.

Matt Brash 

The native of Kingston, Ontario is the top setup man in the Seattle Mariners bullpen. He pitched in 53 games this past season and had a record of one win and three losses with an earned run average of 2.47. In 47 1/3 innings pitched, he gave up 41 hits, 13 earned runs, four home runs, and 18 walks, to go along with 58 strikeouts, four saves, 21 holds, and a WHIP (walks and hits per innings pitched) of 1.25.
